Sunday, May 14 is Mother’s Day and “Blanket Sunday” at DUC. Blankets may be purchased for $10 and will be directed to homeless shelter residents, traveling migrants or to victims of fires and other disasters. Checks can be made out to DUC with “blankets” in the memo line and all contributions will be sent to Church World Services, the sponsor of the event.
Envelopes for cash donations are available at the church and “in honor of” cards are also available that can be sent to that special “mother” in your life.
