Annual Auction and Bazaar
On the second Saturday of August each year, thousands of shoppers from all over the northeast flock to the Dennis Union Church Auction & Bazaar.
This annual event features a live Auction called by the Eldred’s Auction House, a Silent Auction, and over an acre of tables filled with treasures collected from donors throughout the year.
Next year’s Auction set for August 8, 2020 marks the 66th anniversary of this successful venture.
What Are You Likely to Find?
Arguably, the largest array of quality bargains in one place, at one time on Cape Cod. Antiques and collectibles are everywhere, especially under the tent at the live Auction.
Also: Bikes for adults and children. Popular and collectible books. Boutique items including fine china, crystal and silver ware. Jewelry and beads for the young and old. Linens, bedding and carpets. Holiday decorations. Toys, games and puzzles. Small appliances. Kitchen ware. Hundreds of lamps. Hundreds of wicker baskets. Framed artwork and pictures. Recordings – vinyl, discs, tapes. Two truckloads of furniture including beds, chests, chairs, tables vanities and mirrors. Sports equipment. Garden tools including lawn mowers. Power and hand tools. And a country store filled with home-made pies, jams, and more.
When and Where Is It Held?
Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 9 am until 2:30 pm. It takes place in and around the Dennis Union Church at the corner of Old Bass River Road and Route 6A in Dennis, Massachusetts.
Who Does the Work?
This event is supported by virtually everyone in the Church as well as friends and neighbors from the community and beyond.
Where Do the Funds Go?
A variety of charitable organizations benefit directly or indirectly from this event. Proceeds also go into the Church’s general fund to support its mission and outreach programs.
How Can You Help?
The pick-up crew is always looking for volunteers, especially if you own a pick-up truck.
