The service of Hope and Light is a service which acknowledges that Christmas can be a difficult time for some of us. It can challenge us for many reasons like a recent personal loss, feeling depressed, an association with painful Christmases past; separation from loved ones; or a feeling of intense disconnection from the prevailing secularism of Christmas.
Providing a service of hope and light gives space and time away from the hype of our commercial Christmas and an opportunity to experience a sacred presence amidst our lives which are sometimes awkward, uncomfortable, and messy. We will live stream this service from the sanctuary and invite you to have a candle or two to light during the service and to enter into this time of readings, music and prayers.
Join us December 10 at 7 pm just as you watch on Sundays. A reminder and directions to link to the service will be sent out to the congregation on that morning.
