Social Concerns will continue gathering feminine hygiene products as our monthly donations for March. They are considered a luxury item and cannot be purchased with SNAP funds (food assistance). Women have to choose between food, housing, or menstrual products. This can cause women to miss work and students to miss school resulting in under-performance.
D/Y School nurses and A Baby Center have requested the following products:
- Always brand panty liners – thin long with wings in heavy and medium weight
- Packages that say “teen” on them
- Tampons in small/teen and regular sizes.
Donations dropped off in the blue box by the office door entrance will be delivered to the Hands of Hope Outreach Center and to A Baby Center.
